• Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee- BPAC
    You are invited to participate in District 31’s Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee (BPAC). BPAC is a committee of parents, district leaders, and teachers that meet at least four times a year and focus on the bilingual/EL education and programming of the District. Being a BPAC member, you will get to know the curriculum, budget, and ongoing learning for teachers.

    Mission Statement:
    The mission of the Bilingual Parent Advisory Committee is for parents, staff, and the District to work together in order to meet the needs of all bilingual students.

    Our Goals:

    • To establish a collaborative voice between our bilingual families and District 31
    • To promote positive parental participation in the development of the educational experiences for our children
    • To develop the capacity of our parents to support their children with their academic work
    • To establish a bilingual parent network and promote cultural awareness
    • To help make decisions regarding the bilingual program at District 31
    • To understand and review the assessments, resources, and instructional methods used in language acquisition programs

    Our Meetings:

    Please join us for the second Bilingual Parent Advisory Council meeting of the 2021-22 school year. We will meet on Friday, December 3 at 8:30 a.m. in the Winkelman Commons. The meeting is open to all District 31 families of English Learners and Bilingual students. Learn more about our EL program and how to support your EL children at home. Every family in attendance will be gifted materials to support literacy at home. A continental breakfast will be served and we will have raffle prizes!  We would love to see you there!

    Comité de Padres Bilingües
    Acompáñenos a la segunda junta del Comité de Padres Bilingües del año escolar 2021-22.  Nos reuniremos el viernes, 3 de diciembre a las 8:30 am en la sala común de la escuela Winkelman. La junta está abierta a todas las familias de estudiantes bilingües del Distrito 31. Aprenda más sobre el programa bilingüe y cómo apoyar a sus hijos en casa. Cada familia que asista a la junta recibirá materiales para apoyar la lectura en casa. ¡Se servirá un desayuno continental y tendremos rifas! ¡Nos gustaría verlos allí!

    2021-2022 оны хичээлийн жилийн Хос хэлтэй эцэг эхийн зөвлөлдөх зөвлөлийн хоёр дахь уулзалтад бидэнтэй нэгдээрэй. Бид 12-р сарын 3-ны Баасан гарагт 8:30 цагт Винкелман сургуулийн зааланд уулзана. Уулзалтанд 31-р дүүргийн англи хэл суралцагч болон хос хэлтэй оюутнуудын бүх гэр бүл оролцох боломжтой. Манай EL хөтөлбөрийн талаар болон англи хэл суралцагч хүүхдүүдээ гэртээ хэрхэн дэмжих талаар илүү ихийг мэдэж аваарай. Оролцсон гэр бүл бүрд гэртээ хүүхэддээ бичиг үсгийн боловсрол олгоход туслах материал бэлэглэнэ. Өглөөний цайгаар үйлчлэх ба сугалаат урамшуулалтай!     2021-22학년도 제2차 이중언어 학부모 자문회의에 참석해주시기 바랍니다. 이번 저희 모임은 12월 3일 금요일 오전 8시 30분에 윈클맨 커먼스(Winkelman Commons)에서 있습니다. 이 모임은 31학군의 모든 영어 학습자 및 이중언어 학생들의 가족분들에게 열려 있습니다. EL 프로그램과 가정에서 EL 자녀들을 지원하는 방법에 대해 자세히 배우실 수 있습니다. 참석한 모든 가정에게 집에서 읽고 쓰는 학습을 지원하는 자료들을 선물로 드립니다. 간단한 조식과 함께 경품 추첨도 있습니다! 그곳에서 뵙길 기대합니다!
