I am a literacy support teacher and coach at Winkelman School. I have been at Winkelman since 2008 and I have enjoyed all my years here! I believe reading is thinking and something fun to do! Reading can take you places and help you achieve your goals. I love teaching children and helping others to be their very best! My family of three girls, two dogs, and husband enjoys spending time outdoors together- in our yard, at the pool, at the park, or on the beach.  Our nights are spent snuggling and reading books together. When we are together, we love having fun!

I have always been enthusiastic about learning. I spent a lot of time reading when I was a young girl.  Those books took me to magical places and gave me many opportunities to learn new things.  Reading is the most important ingredient to becoming all you can be. Anyway I can help a student achieve that ingredient, is a recipe for success!

As a child I struggled with reading.  I understand when a student struggles in reading how this can have impact on all of their academics.  As a teacher, my goal, is to help students gain the skills to be confident and successful readers.  In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks with my dog and reading books about history and cultures from all over the world.
